Ukrainian armored vehicle of the MRAP class "Kozak-2" belongs to the combat vehicles of the MRAP class - special vehicles created to protect the crew from detonation on mines and ambushes. The tasks that Kozak-2 can perform include patrolling, escorting vehicles, communication and fire support of personnel in combat. Its developer is the Ukrainian enterprise Praktika Scientific and Production Association. Ballistic protection of the armored car is provided by a special alloy steel with ultra-high hardness. "Kozak-2" has bulletproof glass, and the armor protects the crew from fire from small arms caliber 7.62 mm, ammunition fragments and mines. Anti-trauma seats with five-point seat belts are installed for the crew and landing party. It can be equipped with a large-caliber machine gun or a 7.62 mm machine gun, both options are mounted in an armored turret with circular rotation. In the Ukrainian army, the armored car is in service with amphibious assault troops, marines and intelligence units, and it was also supplied to the National Guard and the State Border Service. With the beginning of full-scale hostilities, "Kozak-2" is widely used by various units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
