Assembled model 1/35 tank VK 100.01 (p) Mammut Takom 2156 This is a die-cast plastic for a military vehicle model. VK. 100.01 (P) was the very first plan for a 100-ton class super-heavy tank known under the secret name Mammut (later known as Maus). The turret layout differed from that of the Tiger (P) in that the turret was mounted in the center rather than the front. This model kit from Takom has a main hatch that can be opened and closed after assembly; suspension and wheels are movable. The kit includes a metal gun body, as well as belt tracks, photo-etched parts and decals for four versions. Place your order today! [Includes] : Photo-etched parts, decals for 4 versions The layman is amazed ... and the expert is amazed. Takom builds the mammoth out of a hat along with the VK100.01(P) designation, making this vehicle the first prototype in the 100-ton full-track class, also from Porsche. Was it really? No, at most on the drawing board... and of course in World of Tanks. The approach is always fascinating - at first glance there is a certain similarity with a mouse - but on closer inspection you can see significant differences in all areas. So let's take a closer look inside the box. There we find 7 gray sprues, the bottom of the case, 4 vinyl chain parts, 4 steel pins, a PE PCB, 30 poly crystals, an aluminum tube and a sticker sheet. Here again, Takom presents die-cast parts at a very high level. No leaks, no distortion, but clean, crisp and clear details, a few bleed points, some filigree and small components. The lower part of the case is made of one piece, and this already speeds up the construction tremendously, and therefore can be mastered by beginners. The undercarriage consists of 3 roller stations each, which are known from the type of Porsche tanks such as VK45.01, Elefant or Jagdtiger with Porsche undercarriage. In the case of the much heavier 100-ton vehicle, the roller stations are designed twice and suspended once on the lower part of the hull and once on the outer armored wall. Definitely exciting. The outside rollers are also typical Porsche and the details look very good. The rollers remain rotating with the help of multi-layer caps, which is an advantage for further painting. The chains come as a flexible vinyl chain that consists of two parts per strand - they are conveniently connected using steel pins, which are currently my favorite of all types of connections. The quality of vinyl chains is very good. Clear details with chain teeth, holes and anti-slip pins on the chain bars. The hull is enclosed by a forward panel with a glacis panel and a deck panel with a turret ring and an aft engine deck panel. There are two different plates for the engine cover with very different designs - this is part of the 2 in 1 version of this kit. The fan grills are covered by small polyethylene nets - the very inside remains empty, so you have to see how far you can see through the nets. The same applies to the front hatches, which can be open or closed.
