Assembled model 1:350 German Navy attack submarine U212 HobbyBoss 83527

The Type 212A submarine is a diesel-electric vessel developed and designed by the German shipyard HDW (Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft GmbH). In addition to a conventional diesel engine, it is equipped with an air-independent propulsion (AIP) system. This system utilizes Siemens hydrogen fuel cells with proton-exchange membranes (PEM), allowing the submarine to switch from diesel power at high speeds to the slow but extremely quiet AIP system while submerged. This system enables the submarine to remain underwater for more than three weeks.
