"Nagmachon" is a modern Israeli tracked infantry fighting vehicle (IAF). The drive is provided by a single ADVS-1790-2AC engine with a capacity of 750 hp. The vehicle is armed with two 7.62 mm FN MAG machine guns.
"Nagmachon" was created to replace the M-113 vehicles in the Israeli army and as a development of the concept presented in the "Nagma-Shot" vehicle. It is characterized by an amazing, for a vehicle of this class, cover for crew members and landing forces (max. 10 people). It has powerful armor, probably based on the experience of operating Merkava tanks, and excellent mine protection. In the first production batches, the machine guns had classic armor made of thin metal, but in later versions a special "casemate" appeared in the middle of the fuselage, which provided much better protection for the soldiers who serviced the vehicle's weapons. The Nagmachon is considered to be one of the best-equipped APCs in the world for asymmetric operations. It is also fantastic for urban operations. It was used by the Israeli army, including during the final stages of the Second Intifada (2000-2005) and in southern Lebanon in 2006.
