The M1280 JLTV (Joint Light Tactical Vehicle) is a modern American light tactical vehicle. The first prototypes of the vehicle were manufactured in 2005, and small-scale production began in 2016. The drive is provided by a single Gale Banks Engineering 866T engine with a capacity of 6.6 liters. The maximum speed is estimated at approximately 110 km/h. The presented vehicle was developed by Oshkosh Defense's own company for the needs of the US armed forces. It is assumed that JLTV vehicles (in various versions and variants) will partially replace the increasingly worn-out vehicles of the HUMVEE family. Compared to these vehicles, the new generation of American vehicles provides much better ballistic protection, and also guarantees a larger payload with the same or better properties for driving on and off-road. It is worth adding that JLTV vehicles will be equipped not only with the US Army, but also with the US Marine Corps and special forces. The cars will likely be exported to: Slovenia, Montenegro, Lithuania and Portugal.
