The Ukrainian FV103 CVR(T) Spartan with a HMG (Heavy Machine Gun) turret is a modification of the British light high-speed armored personnel carrier adapted for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is additionally equipped with a closed or semi-open turret with a large-caliber machine gun (for example, the 12.7 mm Browning M2 or Soviet analogues DShKM/NSVT) instead of the standard 7.62 mm machine gun. Having received hundreds of such vehicles thanks to international military assistance and large-scale volunteer recruitment, the Ukrainian military has increased their firepower to combat lightly armored vehicles and enemy infantry, while maintaining the outstanding maneuverability, low profile and high cross-country ability of the CVR(T) tracked platform. Thanks to this modernization, the armored personnel carrier successfully performs not only its direct task - the safe transportation of assault, reconnaissance or sapper groups - but also provides powerful direct fire support on the front line.
